Gold Talk - Let’s Talk!

Au –

From Latin meaning shining dawn, it’s dripped from the earth, shaped by humankind to adorn our head, neck, wrists, monuments, purses, and history from antiquity to the modern era. Malleable and noncorrosive – it stands the test of time and tradition.

It’s inspiration. It’s possibility.

Sumerian Queen Puabi, known for the Queen’s Lyre, was buried with a precious 9-piece headdress primarily made of this heavy metal.

Egyptians pounded and shaped this metal into thin sheets for sandals among other marks of status.

Columbian royal traditions gave rise to the legendary race to El Dorado.

Myanmar’s sacred Shwedagon Pagoda is covered in several tons of it.

Today, it’s a popular choice for wedding rings and other global, jewelry-based traditions.

It’s Gold.

I’m Shalana Dodson and, while I am new to working in formal education, I hope to build this platform together with you by connecting our community in a new and subtly powerful way. My passions are world history, language, education, and writing. My Bachelor’s degree is in English and my Master’s in Education is in Adult Education and Training, and I have a focus study in history and Human Resources Management.

I enjoy researching diverse topics, sharing information, and working to inspire others to reach their greatest potential. Potential is like possibilities – it’s infinite rather than finite. The world waits for us in full color to discover ourselves and the opportunities we’re capable of dreaming and creating.

Dedicated to sharing information, trends, habits, experiences, thoughts, and possibilities related to women and leadership, this blog intends to motivate, reflect on, and be a part of positive change one post at a time.

Let’s lead and change the world together. Let’s talk!
